A Path Made of Faith

I hope that you enjoy original poem of mine!

NEW BEGINNINGS

New is always nice to have no matter what it is. But a "new beginning" is even better because it has the promise of continuing.

Just like the new rose bud that blossoms into its magnificent form. The first stage is delicate, but gentle. With nurturing it will continue to grow. Carefully its petals will open and show what secrets lie beneath.

This "new beginning" young but aware of its surroundings, waits to be appreciated as it continues on. Promises of tender loving care is its daily requirement to become all it can be.

In The Stars

There it is, up above. Over our heads like a carefully guarded crown that each of us wear. As we lift our eyes to gaze upon the wonderment of it all, we suddenly are adrift amongst the stars above.
No matter where we are, we wear our crowns. It proudly glistens throughout its range each and every one a precious gem. Holding fast to its station, never faltering, what responsibility to this crown do we bare?

We move about our lives indifferent of the crown we bare. Bestowed upon by the heavens themselves, how do we honor this crown? We make sure that the vessel that wears it be recognized as sacred; for we are our own temple. Within us our spirit assumes the responsibility of this illustrious gift.

Hopefully throughout our daily dealings we hold fast to the crown we wear and honor it by honoring each other. For we all are glorified by the same gift and are crowned each the same. Respect each other and honor our true gift.

CONCESSION

Here lost amongst all the other stones
I lay
Wondering how I will be seen from all that
are on top
I struggle to stand out despite we're all
the same
Some think that they are greater just because
of their size
Others just keep you pinned locked in just
one place
Daily it's a struggle just getting equal access
like all the ones on top
But time has shown that some things never change
It's concession time to just lay among the others
and be seen or not.

CHANGE

Change, how often do we switch our directions or decide to put on a different outfit for some reason or another? Is it in our nature to diversify and not keep things exactly the same?

So many people are afraid of change. The very idea of doing something a different way from what they have become accustomed is frightening. That prospective change then becomes not only a challenge but a threat to their being as they know it. Some will go to great lengths to avoid any kind of change be it as simple as their type of wardrobe. I think for most of us we will find it relatively easy to change our shoes and not wear the exact same kind day after day, month after month or year after year. Why is changing our type of shoes such an easier task than changing the way we think or behave?

Can we first embrace the positive effects of change? There are so many opportunities that open up when we welcome change. Whether it's the simplest thing as the manner in which we dress and carry ourselves to the way we let go of any fear of ramifications of change. Allow ourselves to be one with the universe which is constantly changing though it maintains a pattern of uniformity. We too must internalize that, though we are still whatever name we are known as, our bodies are molecularly changing to the point that one day we may not look the same. Change, it's all around us, so we must respect all the factors that effect change. Learn to understand it and utilize it to our advantage proudly.

So go ahead and put on those new type of shoes, change your suit or dress more relaxed if you are able. Don't be critical of anyone's decision to embrace change in their lives, but appreciate it. If your behavior did not effect the results you wanted, then change it with a smile! Remember the opportunity to change and see its results is truly a blessing, for the only time we cannot is when life is no longer.

FOR OUR SOUL

What is our soul? Where is our soul? Can we put our hands on it or see it? So why, if we cannot see it, touch it, hear it, or smell it, we can most certainly feel it?
There are many things that allow us to feel our soul from deep within. One thing that adjust how we feel to even how we will react is music. Each and everyone of us will have a particular type of sound that we will respond in a given matter. It could be the melodic tunes a bird's chirping makes to the avid bird watcher or the sweet voice of someone special. It is all music to the ears of the beholder and thereby feeds the soul. Some music will absolutely energize us in a way that we feel renew. Other music will lend their rhythmic tunes to a feeling or pure ecstasy. Then there are times when music will help us remember as we go down memory lane revisiting people and places. It is definitely a great thing to remember.
Now tell me, how can our soul be fed so well by music, but we cannot see it? Is it a figment of our imagination or maybe a phantom of ourselves? Whether you believe in the existence of such a thing as a "soul" or not, you must admit that music does have a nurturing effect on us. Music is food for the soul.
